Desha County District Court has jurisdiction over the following matters: small and civil claims in matters less than
$5,000.00, criminal misdemeanors, traffic tickets and city ordinance violations.

The District Judge is an elected official with a four year term of office. The Court Clerk, Connie Moss was appointed by the Judge with the approval of the City Government. Leslie Hornaday is the Assistant Deputy Clerk.

Court is held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and is held in the courtroom of the Police Department at 2412 Highway 65 N.

The office is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30 p.m.
